The Release Project

Imprisoned by a painful memory, a young woman finds hope and freedom through a mysterious visitor.

Welcome to The Release Film Project. Our objective is to be a voice for those that have suffered child abuse and are still haunted by their past. Statistics indicate that 25% of women and 20% of men have been sexually abused as children.

Unfortunately abused children typically hold on to their painful secret and carry with them guilt, shame and often times self hate. They live forever trapped by their past.

Our first short film, The Release tells the story of how one such victim found healing and freedom through divine intervention when a mysterious man paid her a visit and helped her to find the courage to let go of her past and to forgive both herself and her assailant.

This web site is a resource for hope and healing and an encouragement to those on their journey towards recovery.

Our objective is to create awareness and to be a resource for information and help. If you or someone you know has suffered abuse and would like to receive help or more information please visit our help page.

Our Plan:

Our plan is to produce multiple short videos like The Release, which tell compelling stories of the human condition and of God’s restorative love.

We will make these films (videos) available for free to the public, churches, community centers and health organizations so they can be used as tools for generating discussion and awareness. Organizations will be allowed to add their contact info at the end of the video and use them on their web site or pass them out in their community on DVDs.

To learn more about how you can use this first short film in your community visit our media page.

If you are interested in supporting us to create more films please feel free to contact us.
